The commander of the archers in the Battle of Uhud was Abdullah ibn Jubair ibn al-Nu'man al-Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him. He witnessed Al-Aqabah and Badr and was martyred in Uhud. He was the commander of the archers on that day. This is confirmed in the of Al-Bara' ibn Azib in the , where he forbade the archers from leaving their positions after the defeat of the polytheists, but they disobeyed him, and he was martyred on that day.
