Is it permissible for a husband to force his wife to his bed if she refuses without reason, or due to her fatigue, illness, being hurt by intercourse, or by the husband's smell, or his approaching her without foreplay?

The husband must treat his wife kindly and understand her innate and psychological needs. This includes what the hadiths indicate regarding satisfying the wife sexually, in addition to his cleanliness, adornment, and playful interaction with her. All of this is among her rightful dues from him. The husband's shortcoming in this regard does not justify the wife's disobedience to his command if he requests her, unless she has an excuse preventing her, such as illness or harm from intercourse. He has the right to compel her to allow him lawful enjoyment. These problems are resolved through frankness and understanding.
