What is the ruling on a wife refusing sexual intercourse when her husband desires it?

A wife must obey her husband in what is right and lawful, especially concerning matters of the marital bed in all circumstances. This is based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: “If a man calls his wife to his need, she must come to him, even if she is on the oven.” The husband has the right to enjoy his wife whenever he wishes and in any position, as long as it does not distract her from her obligatory duties or harm her.
