What is the ruling on being named "Murad," and was anyone among the Companions or the Tabi'un named by it?

There is no harm in being named "Murad" because it comes from "Arada" meaning "he desired a thing, he loved it, and he cared for it." It has been mentioned in the Holy Quran, and some scholars and hadith narrators have been named with it.
