It is permissible for engaged couples to see each other and converse within the limits of regulations, as reported from Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): "Do not marry your daughters to an ugly man, for they admire in them what they admire in women." Going out with two young men in the manner mentioned is a transgression of Sharia regulations, because the permissibility of looking and conversing is restricted by necessity. It is hoped that repentance has forgiven the sin, and the prayer of repentance is prescribed upon committing a sin.
