What is the reward and recompense for the Udhiyah (sacrifice) in the noble Hadiths?
The best of deeds on the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm an-Nahr) is the shedding of blood in the sacrifice (), and it is better than charity. It is established that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sacrificed two horned, white-black rams. Authentic and weak hadiths have been narrated concerning the virtue of the sacrifice, among them the authentic of Aisha: "No deed done by the son of Adam on the Day of Sacrifice is more beloved to Allah than the shedding of blood...", and the weak hadith of Fatima, and the weak hadith of Zayd ibn Arqam which mentions that for every hair there is a good deed. Weak hadiths can be used for encouragement regarding virtues, provided they are not severely weak.
