Is there any objection to praying for the same thing frequently, or to supplicating persistently? Is not taking means a condition for supplication? Is it permissible to pray for provision without taking means if one is fully occupied with voluntary work that consumes all their time?

Frequent and repeated supplication, and persistent entreaty to Allah Almighty, are encouraged in Islamic law and are among the reasons for the prayer being answered. Indeed, supplication is worship. Allah Almighty says: "And your Lord said: 'Invoke Me; I will respond to you. Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell in humiliation'" (Ghafir: 60). It is not a condition for supplication to take means, so it is permissible for a servant to supplicate to Allah Almighty to provide for him even if he has not taken means.
