1. His divorce does not take effect if he reached a state of unconsciousness and loss of perception.
2. His divorce takes effect if he was aware of his words and their consequences at the time of uttering them.
It is advised to consult an Ifta (-issuing) authority to inquire about the husband's state at the time of the divorce.
