Purity is indicated by one of two signs: dryness (al-jufuf) or the white discharge (al-qassah al-bayda’). If the blood and any associated yellowish or brownish discharge cease, then dryness has occurred, and white moisture does not harm. If you see yellowish or brownish discharge after achieving purity, do not pay attention to it and do not repeat ghusl. However, if you see red blood after ghusl during the possible time of menstruation, you must repeat ghusl. Repeating ghusl after seeing purity is not necessary unless red blood appears and is confirmed. Inserting a finger into the anus is not prescribed, but it does not necessitate ghusl.
