Is a woman permitted to stipulate to her suitor that he quit smoking, and what should she do if he does not adhere to it?

Smoking is forbidden (haram). If a woman stipulates in the marriage contract that her husband must quit smoking and he fails to adhere to this condition, she has the right to annul the contract. However, it is advisable to attempt reconciliation before proceeding with annulment.
