Is it permissible to receive the results of a DNA fingerprint analysis for a son to confirm his lineage, and what are the Sharia implications in the event that his lineage is disproven?

The wise Islamic law has emphasized the preservation of lineages, and has forbidden a man from denying his child who was born on his bed, threatening those who deny their children with disgrace. Therefore, it is not permissible to deny the lineage of a child due to a difference in color or a lack of resemblance to his parents, because the evidence of resemblance is weak compared to the evidence of birth on the marital bed.
