Reciting the Quran with any sound, continuous (mutawatir) narration is valid, and the prayer of both the imam and the congregants is valid with it. However, if the imam's recitation with a narration unknown to the congregants will lead to disagreement or doubt in their hearts, then it is better not to recite with it, in order to preserve the unity of the ranks and affection. Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "Disagreement is evil."
