Is reporting a colleague who is selling company property a شرعي (religiously unlawful) mistake that necessitates accountability, especially if it leads to punishment for the driver?

Whoever sees an employee betraying a trust must advise him and command him to cease from prohibited acts, and warn him that he will report him if he does not repent and return the right to the company. If he does not respond, it is obligatory to report him to his superior, so that appropriate action can be taken. This falls under the category of changing an evil, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue; if he cannot, then with his heart." If one sees a person stealing money, it is obligatory for him to inform the owner of the money, because concealing that is considered aiding in sin.
