Is it permissible to say, "My wrath and displeasure be upon you"?

It appears there is no objection to saying "may Allah be angry with you" if the intention is to avoid describing a creature with some of Allah's attributes mentioned in the revelation, such as anger and pleasure. Some of Allah's attributes are shared between Him and His creation, though with a great difference, as Al-Tahawi said: "And Allah becomes angry and pleased, but not like any of creation."

However, if the intention is merely for the speaker to inform the person being addressed that he is angry with him, we do not think the questioner would find a simple statement of one's condition problematic.

And if the intention is to supplicate against the addressed person, wishing that the speaker's anger befall him, leading to his punishment or revenge, and assaulting him with injustice, then it is not permissible if it is without a legitimate Sharia right.
