What is the ruling on my work as a teacher in a girls' school where they give me suspicious glances, laugh loudly, and sometimes uncover parts of their hair?

The fundamental principle in assigning teachers is to direct men to teach males and women to teach females, in order to preserve the sacred limits set by Allah. Allah commanded believing men and women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity, and He commanded believing women to observe hijab and modesty. It is not permissible to assign male teachers to teach girls except in cases of necessity and the absence of female teachers, provided that the girls adhere to hijab and Islamic manners, and that seclusion (khalwa) and intermingling (ikhtilat) are avoided. If the female students do not adhere to Islamic manners and the teacher is unable to compel them to do so, he must request a transfer to a boys' school. It is not permissible for him to continue teaching them if they do not adhere to Islamic manners and there is no necessity for him to do so.
