How can married women be advised to accept a second marriage for the sake of sheltering girls and preventing the causes of indecency?

It is preferable for a man to inform his first wife of his desire to marry another and try to convince her, in order to prevent potential problems, as it is in the nature of women not to accept co-wives. However, if the wife does not agree, the husband still has the right to marry, because Allah has permitted him to combine up to four wives if he deals justly with them. Furthermore, Islamic law encourages increasing progeny, and polygyny contributes to achieving this, reduces spinsterhood, and protects society from corruption. Therefore, a woman should not oppose it.
