Is it considered an act of disobedience to parents (ʿuqūq) if one does not borrow money from the bank for the sake of the family, when such a loan would consume a large portion of one's salary?

The parents' sustenance is not obligatory if they are not poor. However, it is desirable to maintain ties with them through money, even if they are not in need. It is not necessary to take a loan to save for them, especially if it will cause harm or hardship. It is better to maintain ties with them within the daughter's means, without difficulty. Taking an interest-bearing loan is forbidden.
