Will a mother be held accountable if she names her daughter "Nuhad" after the singer Fairuz, and must the girl change her name?

The name "Nihad" is not specific to a particular group, and therefore, it is not necessary to change it. A mother being named with it is not considered a sin, as the disfavor here is one of purification (tanzih). Parents will be questioned about their children on the Day of Judgment, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock." They are also commanded by sacred law to beautify their children's names and raise them well.
