Is it a sin to refrain from marriage due to epilepsy and its psychological effects, so as not to harm the other party?

Marriage is recommended, not obligatory, according to the majority of jurists. However, if a person fears falling into prohibitions such as zina (fornication/adultery) or masturbation, and has the ability to marry, then marriage becomes obligatory for him at that point. Patience in the face of tribulation leads to Paradise. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, gave a woman afflicted with epilepsy the choice between enduring her illness and receiving Paradise, or having him pray for her recovery. She chose patience and asked not to be uncovered, so he prayed for her.
