The question

Is it permissible for me to marry a non-Muslim girl who takes care of me in my temporary home without the knowledge of her guardian, on the condition that she converts to Islam out of conviction, while she remains in her family's home until I can provide a home for us to live in?

The answer

It is impermissible to establish a relationship with a foreign woman. It is only permissible to look at her for the purpose of marriage.

If the girl converts to Islam, it is permissible to marry her with the approval of her Muslim guardian, or the judge if no Muslim guardian is available.

If the girl is from the People of the Book (Christian or Jewish) and chaste, it is permissible to marry her with the approval of her guardian from her own religion, or the judge if the guardian prevents her marriage or is not available.

Marriage to non-Muslim women who are not from the People of the Book is forbidden.

The wife has the right to an independent home, and there is no objection if she waives this right and accepts living in another suitable place.
