Is it permissible to travel to a summer resort (Al-Shaqeeq) despite the dangerous road and the father's disapproval, knowing that destinies are in God's hands?

Obedience to parents and showing them dutifulness are among the most emphasized obligations. Allah has coupled obedience to them with obedience to Him. Their obedience is obligatory unless they command disobedience, or something that involves harm or excessive hardship. Therefore, if the father does not command disobedience or something that involves excessive harm, then obedience to him is obligatory. It is advised to forgo traveling with friends in obedience to Allah and out of dutifulness to the father.
