Is it permissible for a married man who owns one home and whose salary is sometimes sufficient, to marry a second woman who owns a home, under the pretext that Allah will provide for him, or should he wait for his income to improve and for him to secure independent housing?

Scholars differ on the ruling concerning marriage for someone who cannot afford its expenses. We advise this man that if he does not have an urgent need for a second marriage, he should be patient until he is able to afford the expenses of marriage, including the dowry, housing, and sustenance.
