A mother's display of her adornments (tabarruj) is forbidden, and she must be advised with wisdom and gentleness. It is not permissible to give her money if it is known that she will spend it on forbidden things. A mother preventing her children from inheriting is forbidden and constitutes consuming people's wealth unjustly. Selling the children's house is permissible if the mother is wealthy and able to provide housing for herself. If she is poor, suitable housing must be provided for her while continuously honoring her.
