Is it permissible to marry a girl whom one's parents disapprove of, but whose family approves?

If parents forbid their son from marrying a specific woman without a valid reason, then obedience to them is not obligatory, and the son is not considered disobedient by disagreeing with them, unless the reason for their rejection is religious. It is preferable for the son to obey his parents and seek a woman whom they approve of, unless there is harm to him in doing so. The son must always show piety and kindness to his parents.
