It is not permissible for a member to pay a sum of money or work to accumulate points to become a member of a company in order to obtain a discount, because that is considered gambling and dealing with non-free discount cards is prohibited. It is permissible for a person to work as a broker in buying or selling for a known fee from the customer, or to work for the seller and take a commission from him without the buyer's knowledge, provided that it is not added to the price of the goods. It is permissible for the broker to buy the commodity and sell it to the customer after possessing it and transferring it. As for Salam (forward sale), it is legally permissible, and it is the sale of a described item with deferred delivery for a price paid at the time of the contract.
