If you divorced your wife with an explicit utterance while you were aware of what you were saying, then the divorce has occurred. Your panic, regret, or lack of intention to effect the divorce are of no consequence, as an explicit statement does not require intention.
However, if you uttered it while unaware of what you were saying due to extreme anger or waking up in fright, your divorce does not take effect. It is recommended to present the matter to scholars specialized in issuing fatwas.
