Is it obligatory to fast the days during which the lochia (nifas) stopped and pinkish discharge, appearing intermittently, was observed?

These pink discharges, if they occur during the postnatal period (forty days), are considered nifas (definition) (postnatal bleeding). Anything after the forty days is not considered nifas unless it coincides with the time of menstruation. If a woman fasted some days while these discharges were considered nifas, she must make up those days. Otherwise, her fast is valid, and she is not required to make it up.
