What is the ruling on someone who says to a believer, "You are among the people of extremism (ghuluw)?"

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade extremism (ghuluw). Ibn Taymiyyah defined it as exceeding the limits in beliefs and actions, meaning exceeding what is prescribed by the Sharia. If someone is accused of extremism, it falls into one of two categories:

1. If they are indeed characterized by it: They should be advised, and the Prophet's prohibition of extremism should be explained to them, while observing the etiquette of advice and without shaming them publicly. 2. If they are innocent of it: It is forbidden to accuse them of it, as it constitutes harming a Muslim, and one must be careful not to categorize people. Al-Dhahabi said: "Speaking about individuals is not permissible except for one who has complete knowledge and complete piety."
