Is it permissible to take a percentage from converting a large sum of money ($1,000,000) into Egyptian Pounds, knowing that the source of the money is unknown?

The default is that what a person possesses is his property, and it is not permissible to transfer money unless there is conclusive evidence that he does not own it or is not its agent. Otherwise, there is no impediment to transferring the amount for a known fee.
