The Hadith: "Whoever looks at the face of a scholar with one glance and rejoices in him, Allah, the Blessed and Most High, will create from that glance and joy an angel who seeks forgiveness for its owner until the Day of Resurrection" has a weak chain of transmission. This is due to several defects: the unknown status (جهالة) of Ali Al-Ajami and Qais ibn Busr, the leniency (تساهل) of Abd al-Wahhab ibn Ja'far al-Maydani, and the absence of any mention of disparagement or authentication (جرح أو تعديل) regarding Ali ibn al-Hasan ibn Raja.

This Hadith was exclusively narrated by Ibn Asakir. Generally, Hadiths that are exclusively narrated by books such as "Tarikh Dimashq" and are not transmitted by well-known Sunan and Musnad collections are weak.
