What is the ruling on communicating with righteous people of knowledge and religion, if my mother has sworn by Allah that I not communicate with them?

Obedience to the mother is not obligatory if she forbids association with people of knowledge and faith, if the prohibition is due to their religion and uprightness. This is because befriending the righteous is recommended, and obedience to parents is not obligatory in abandoning recommended acts if the prohibition stems from caprice or an unjustified reason. However, if the prohibition is due to their persons, not their religion, then it is obligatory to obey her in not associating with them, while still fulfilling the general rights due to a Muslim.
