Is the barrier of Dhul-Qarnayn (Zul-Qarnayn) existent and known to Muslims today? Is it valid for it to be located in Georgia in the Caucasus Mountains? Is it permissible for a Muslim to research and inquire about it? Is there a divine wisdom in Muslims not knowing its whereabouts?

The Dam of Dhul-Qarnayn exists and will remain until the promise of Allah comes to pass. A small part of it was opened during the life of Waq-Waq. Gog and Magog are behind the dam and have not yet emerged; they will emerge in the days of the descent of Jesus (peace be upon him). There is no harm in searching for the dam, but it is better to utilize time in learning the texts of revelation. There is no definitive evidence proving its location in the Caucasus Mountains. We are not commanded to search for its location, and our ignorance of it does us no harm; rather, what is incumbent upon us is to believe in what has been revealed in the revelation.
