How do I choose the right wife from among three girls, each possessing different qualities, knowing that my heart has become attached to one of them—the most beautiful—despite previous problems with her family, and my father prefers another due to her father’s status?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, detailed the criteria upon which a wife should be chosen. He said: "A woman is married for four reasons: for her wealth, for her lineage, for her beauty, and for her religion. So, choose the one who is religious, and you will prosper." The best of women is she who pleases him when he looks at her, obeys him when he commands, and does not contradict him in herself or in his wealth in a way he dislikes. Choosing a beautiful woman is better, as it brings more tranquility to the soul, lowers the gaze, and perfects affection.

If the second woman is more agreeable to you, and your father does not object to you marrying her, and she is willing to accept and implement advice as long as it pleases Allah, then there is no harm in choosing her for marriage, provided that she agrees to abandon makeup when going out, as it is impermissible, even if it is light. Before marriage, you should perform Istikhara (prayer for guidance) and seek consultation.
