What is the fate of a believer who commits many sins?

For the disobedient among the people of Tawheed (monotheism), there are two states: Either they have repented from their disobedience with sincere repentance during their lives, in which case they return as if they had no sin. Or they have died without repenting, and these fall into three categories:

1. Those whose good deeds outweigh their bad deeds; Allah will pardon them and admit them into Paradise.

2. Those whose good deeds and bad deeds are equal; these are the People of the A'raf (The Heights), and then they will enter Paradise.

3. Those whose bad deeds outweigh their good deeds; these deserve to enter Hellfire according to their sins, and then they will be brought out of it by intercession.

As for in this world, the disobedient are believers with incomplete faith, as long as they have not committed acts that expel them from the fold of Islam.
