When it ceases, the woman should perform ghusl (ritual bath) and pray. If the yellowish or brownish discharge returns, it is not considered menses unless it occurs during the usual time of menstruation.

However, if the yellowish or brownish discharge is not connected to blood and does not occur during the usual time of menstruation, it is not considered menses at all.
