The answer

The ten promised Paradise are the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned in the of Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf: "Abu Bakr is in Paradise, and Umar is in Paradise, and Uthman is in Paradise, and Ali is in Paradise, and Talhah is in Paradise, and al-Zubayr is in Paradise, and Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf is in Paradise, and Sa'd is in Paradise, and Sa'id is in Paradise, and Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah is in Paradise." Others were also promised Paradise, but these ten were named as such because their promise was mentioned in a single hadith.
