Is it permissible for a wife to give charity from her husband's money if he prevents her from giving charity from her own money?

A husband is not permitted to prevent his wife from giving her obligatory zakat, nor is it valid for him to pay zakat on her behalf without her permission. As for voluntary charity (sadaqat al-tatawwu'), he cannot prevent her from giving it, but it is commendable for her to seek his permission. Scholars have differed regarding his right to prevent her from giving charity that exceeds one-third of her wealth, and the majority opinion is that he does not have the right to prevent her.
