Will the woman who is asking be sinful or an unbeliever if she ignores the messages she sees, which bear the name of a specific person, and continues with her current engagement, or should she cancel the engagement and follow those messages, knowing that she feels she would be an unbeliever if she turns away from them?

It is recommended to supplicate frequently, for He is near and responsive, while also seeking help through ruqyah (definition) shar'iyyah (Islamic exorcism) if there is a strong suspicion of being afflicted by magic, and to beware of charlatans and sorcerers. It is also advised to promptly proceed with marriage to a suitor of good religious commitment and character, after performing istikhara (prayer for guidance). As for dreams, they are of three types, and what is seen is often a manipulation by Satan. One should not preoccupy themselves with them and should seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. Even if a dream is from the Most Merciful, it should not be relied upon or used as a basis for rulings; rather, it should only be considered for comfort and reassurance.
