How can one deal with the the accusation of "Wahhabism" when advising relatives to abandon bid'ah (innovations)?
May Allah reward you for your eagerness to do good and offer advice. The reactions you encounter from some of your relatives are natural and faced by everyone who advises, enjoins good, and forbids evil. Do not let this deter you from advising and inviting to good with wisdom and beautiful admonition, for this is the path to success and attaining immense reward. Allah Almighty says: "And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful." And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, there are people among my Ummah who will be given rewards like the rewards of their predecessors; they forbid evil."
