Is the condition set by the software manufacturer that the original program not be loaded onto more than one device void in a sale, if the buyer wishes to load another copy onto the same device?

The program developer has the right to prevent commercial exploitation or any use harmful to it, but they do not have the right to prevent the buyer from copying it for personal use. Such a condition is invalid and has no legal standing.
