A husband must be just among his wives in the division [of time]. If he stays with one of them more than another without her consent, he is sinful. If the wife has left her husband's house without his permission, her right to division is forfeited, and she is considered rebellious (nashiz). The obligatory justice is to spend one night with each, and it is permissible to spend two or three nights without the consent of the other wife. However, if the wives are in distant lands, the husband divides his time between them according to what is possible, such as a month with each.
