Is it permissible to combine and shorten prayers in Al-Quway'iyah for someone who works there from Sunday to Wednesday, then returns to Riyadh weekly, knowing that their family resides in Riyadh?

It is permissible to avail oneself of the concessions of travel in Al-Quwai'iyah under two conditions: that the distance is a travel distance (around 170 km), and that one does not reside for a period that interrupts the travel. The Hanbali school of thought holds that the duration of stay that interrupts travel is the intention to reside for more than twenty prayers.
