Is conveying the news that a man and his wife have been accused of adultery, based on their disclosure of their secret to a trusted person, considered a slander (qadhf) that incurs sin?

It is not permissible to accuse a chaste person of adultery unless there are four witnesses, based on the Almighty’s saying: {And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes}. So, whoever says, "So-and-so committed adultery with so-and-so," is an accuser, and repentance is obligatory upon him, and the accused has the right to demand the prescribed punishment. However, if he transmits the speech from someone else by saying, "So-and-so told me that so-and-so and so-and-so committed adultery," he is not considered an accuser, unless he says, "He is an adulterer, and he witnessed me." A person should not disclose his sin that Allah has concealed for him.
