What is the ruling of Islamic law on determining the sex of a fetus through IVF if the family has only daughters and no male children?

It is not permissible to perform IVF for those who are capable of natural conception, because it necessitates exposure of the major 'awrah, and there is a possibility of mixing sperm and eggs, which could lead to confusion of lineage. One must be content with Allah's decree and destiny.
