The answer

A wife having religious knowledge motivates her to acquire good qualities and obey her husband. One should not rush into divorce, especially if there are young children, and if there is a possibility of rectifying matters. It is recommended to be patient with her, continue to advise her, supplicate for her, and seek help from those close to her. Allah, the Almighty, says: (And live with them honorably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allah brings through it much good). And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (Let no believing man hate a believing woman. If he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another). If you need to marry another woman, there is no harm in that, and marriage is a means of richness. It is important to emphasize the significance of striving against one's self (mujahadat al-nafs), motivating it towards acts of obedience, and increasing remembrance of Allah (dhikr).
