What is meant by the statement of Hadith scholars, such as Sheikh Mustafa Al-Adawi, that Sheikh Al-Albani and Sheikh Ahmad Shakir are lenient in authenticating Ahadith, and what is the outcome of this statement; and is it among its outcomes that the default status of the Ahadith they authenticated is weakness?

Shaykhs Al-Albani and Ahmad Shakir are among the contemporary scholars who revived the religion, refuted innovations and superstitions, purified the Sunnah (definition) from weak and fabricated hadiths, responded to the misconceptions of the misguided, and propagated the creed of the righteous predecessors. We neither exaggerate nor neglect them, for everyone's statements can be accepted or rejected except for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and perfection is rare. One should not bury virtues due to a slip or error, for a scholar is praised for the abundance of his merits. The term "Muhaddith" (hadith (definition) scholar) may be applied to someone who has memorized twenty thousand hadiths. These two shaykhs do not uniquely affirm or weaken hadiths; rather, they rely on the statements of previous scholars and weigh them with precise discernment. Ahmad Shakir was criticized for relying on the authentication of Ibn Hibban, and Al-Albani for occasionally bringing forth corroborative evidences (shawahid) and follow-ups (mutaba'at) that do not support the hadith he classifies as "hasan (definition) li ghayrihi" (good due to external support). However, this is infrequent and does not necessitate rejecting his authentications.
