The relationship between Fatimah and Aisha, may Allah be pleased with them both, was based on affection, righteousness, and good companionship. Nothing was known to have marred the purity of this relationship. Rather, Aisha loved Fatimah and praised her often, likening her to the Prophet, peace be upon him, in his demeanor, guidance, and mannerisms. Aisha narrated several hadiths that show Fatimah’s status and position with the Prophet, peace be upon him, which indicates her deep love for Fatimah and her desire to highlight her virtues.

For her part, Fatimah loved Aisha, and this is evident from her adherence to the Prophet’s, peace be upon him, commandment when he said to her: "My dear daughter, do you not love what I love?" She said: "Yes." He said: "Then love this one." Fatimah refused to ask the Prophet, peace be upon him, for justice regarding Aisha, despite the Prophet’s wives asking her to do so. Fatimah also trusted Aisha, as she mentioned to her her need for a servant, which indicates the depth of their relationship. This good relationship continued between them even after the Prophet's death, peace be upon him.
