Will a son's repentance and return to the straight path be accepted, even though he knows of his parents' displeasure with him before their deaths?

The rights of parents are great. Allah has coupled the command to worship Him with kindness to them, and has made disobedience to them one of the greatest major sins. For one who disobeys their parents and they die angry, sincere repentance is accepted. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful; He accepts the repentance of sinners no matter how great their sins. One can make amends for their disobedience after their death by supplicating for them, seeking forgiveness for them, giving charity on their behalf, fulfilling their will, and honoring their friends.
