How can a young man who loves listening to the Quran and religious lessons, yet has hidden sins, repent and begin seeking religious knowledge to achieve salvation in the Hereafter and happiness in this world?

The path to salvation and happiness is faith and righteous deeds, by performing the commands and abandoning the prohibitions, by entering into all the laws of Islam, and by repenting to Allah. This is achieved by adhering to the obligatory duties and striving in the supererogatory acts, by forsaking forbidden and disliked things, by striving in sincere repentance and being mindful of Allah, by seeking sacred knowledge, by accompanying the righteous, and by frequently supplicating and seeking assistance from Allah.
