Does a divorce take place when a husband, in a moment of anger, says to his wife: "I don't want you, you are not my wife, understand – you are not my wife, in English," while he did not intend divorce and was ignorant that these words are considered phrases of divorce?

If the anger was severe at the time of uttering the aforementioned words, then divorce does not occur, due to the lifting of responsibility at that time. However, if the anger was less, and the husband was aware of what he was saying but did not intend divorce, then nothing is binding on him, because the wording is considered one of the allusive expressions of divorce, and an allusive expression does not effect divorce except with the intention of divorce. Divorce occurs with an explicit wording or an allusive expression accompanied by intention, whether the wording is in Arabic or another language.
